Terri leads every aspect of Kaiser German Shepherds — selecting breeding dogs, planning pairings, raising every litter, and walking new families through their first weeks at home. The standard she holds for every Kaiser puppy is the same standard she holds for the dogs in her own home, because every dog in the program is one.

She stays in touch with every Kaiser family long after pickup — for training advice, growth and nutrition questions, and whatever comes up over the life of the dog.

Paul is Terri's partner in every sense. He maintains the six fenced acres, the kennel facility, and works alongside Terri on daily care, training, and the steady behind-the-scenes work that keeps the program running.

Together they've built Kaiser into one of Texas's most respected West-German-line GSD programs — and the place every Kaiser puppy starts its life.

Meet Lora Nix, an internationally respected, national award-winning dog trainer.

For more than 25 years, Lora Nix has dedicated her life to helping dogs and their people build stronger relationships through trust, communication, and purposeful training.

What began as a passion for dogs at age 12 evolved into a lifelong study of both canine and human psychology. Driven by a desire to better understand the bond between dogs and their people, Lora has spent decades learning how behavior, communication, and trust shape successful relationships, helping families create lasting partnerships with their dogs.

Her journey led her into the world of Schutzhund / IGP, where she developed a strong foundation in working dog training and competition. Over the years, she has trained and titled more than 40 dogs, earned multiple high-in-trial placements, and successfully competed at regional and national events. In 2022, she achieved a career milestone by winning the National Sieger Show with client dog VA-1 Inna von Hohen Burg.

Today, Lora specializes in behavior modification and coaching, helping dogs overcome challenges such as reactivity, insecurity, and aggression while empowering owners with the knowledge and confidence to create lasting success at home.

Code K9, led by Ben Weber, is a family-run dog training business with over 20 years of canine handler and dog training experience.

Ben was previously a fireman and emergency medical technician and then became certified as a search and rescue K9 handler. Since his search and rescue days, Ben has been training dogs to help them become healthy and positive family members for their owners. Ben believes that a well-trained dog is happier, more emotionally stable, and enjoys stronger bonds with its family. Ultimately, quality training provides freedom and opportunities to enhance the relationship between owners and dogs.

Ben is also an approved American Kennel Club (AKC) Evaluator, a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals, and holds certifications in Holistic Canine Nutrition, Canine First Responder First Aid, Search and Rescue, and SAR Tech II. Additionally, he has earned three master's degrees.

Training is an integral part of our Kaiser German Shepherd Dog breeding program. With nearly 20 years experience training German Shepherd Dogs, Rachel has helped our clients and their dogs achieve their highest goals — whether they go on to compete in shows or be a loyal family guardian. If you are looking for support as you transition your new puppy into your home or need assistance later in the life of your dog, Rachel is committed to teaching your Kaiser German Shepherd Dog to grow into a well-behaved lifelong family member. Rachel is also an accomplished Kaiser German Shepherd Dog handler in dog shows and dog sporting events including Schutzhund. From preparation to show day, she will support your family on the journey to develop a titled show dog.

For those who live in the DFW metroplex and surrounding areas, Rachel offers personalized private lessons in your home to ensure you and your Kaiser puppy start out on the path to success. She also offers board-and-train packages for more advanced training and for those outside the DFW metroplex.

In addition to her training programs, Rachel founded Paws to Consider Ranch Retreat in Azle, Texas after recognizing the need for a boarding experience designed specifically for German Shepherds. Built with the breed's unique temperament and needs in mind, the ranch offers a safe, enriching, and comfortable home away from home. Today, it is a trusted vacation home for many Kaiser German Shepherds, where personalized care, spacious accommodations, and experienced handling allow every dog to thrive while giving their families complete peace of mind.

Brandy has been a part of the Kaiser German Shepherd team for over three years. She is here early most mornings helping care for our adult dogs and puppies through feeding, cleaning, administering monthly medications, bathing, and basic training. She also assists with dog show handling, overnight care when needed, and photography.

Dogs have always been a big part of Brandy's life. Before joining Kaiser, she volunteered at a veterinary clinic during high school and operated her own dog walking and pet sitting service.

One of Brandy's favorite parts of working at Kaiser is spending time with the dogs every day and watching puppies grow and develop their own unique personalities before they leave for their new homes.

Brandy shares her life with her own German Shepherd, Koda, who came from Kaiser German Shepherds the same year she joined our team.

Her hardworking, dependable, and compassionate nature, along with her love for animals, make her a valuable part of the Kaiser family.
